A bit odd this one, but then again, Amman (in Jordan) is a bit odd too
Once a big Roman city, but shrunken to a less
than 2000 inhabitants village in 1900 C.E.
It has had an exponential growth in the past 50 years, and is now
home to about 2 million souls.
It is a mixture of modern and classic architecture and has lots of
roman remains, among which is an amphitheatre.
