Muharam, the first month of the Islamic/arabic calendar
The Hijra (Islamic) calendar starts in 622 C.E. but the
calendaric system itself had been in use by nomadic people
in the middle east long before that.
You can tell it's designed for nomads because it indicates
not the seasons (like the Christian -farmer's- calendar) but which
nights are bright enough to travel.
